I'd be interested to see if the NBDB will run. First stop all services, then run ... Install-path\NetBackup\bin\bpup -e SQLANYs_VERITAS_NB Install-path\NetBackup\bin\nbdb_ping You should get a message saying the DB is alive and well. This will be unaffected by any authorization issues that may exist - the DB must be able to run before anything else can be looked at, so if this doesn't run, that is the first problem to solve, then seee what's left after that. If it does run, then we know that at least that part is working - it doesn't mean it doesn't have some corruption, but we have to start the troubleshooting somewhere. If the DB won't start, then there are a few things you can do, but you are probably looking at a catalog recovery - either create a blank NBEMM DB and restore the catalog, of if there is anypossibilty that some binaries have become damaged, I'd reinstall nbu and recover the catalog.

check if the relation database services are up

use nbdb_ping to test connection to the database.

check if you have enough free space where the database resides.

That was going to be my next suggestion, but well done for jumping ahead. It kinda works around the issue, as you're up an running but no nbac ..
