Hi,

In Netbackup Client host properties, click some clients showing status 25,46, 58... etc. Is there any issue. Rarely some clients showing like this, but backups are successing.

Eg:
Connection requested by invalid server.

Check to make sure that the configuration of "Client-1" is set to allow access to server "Master server"  (Status 46).

cannot connect on socket  (Status 25)

Netbackup version: 5.1 MP7
Os: Sun 5.10,

Any Idea, how to resolve such type of issues,

Thanks for your tips& tricks and thoughts on this.

Backups will be successful if connectivity between media server and client is working fine.
You seem to have connectivity problems between master and clients.

Create bpcd log on clients, the test connectivity via Host Properties.
Check bpcd log for errors.
You need to verify that the client can resolve the master's IP address to hostname that appears in Client's SERVER list.
You also need to verify that the client can connect back to the Master on the default port range of 512 - 1023 (unless you have enabled connect-back on vnetd (1724)).

I have tried some basic troubleshoot on this issue

bpclntcmd -pn, -hn -ip

some clients it is working on both sides ( master and clients)

telnet client bpcd  ( it is working all clients)

netstat -an|grep 13782

But some clients are successful and some clients failing with status code 58
