Does update_dbclients apply in release 7.1 ?

After pushing patch for 7.1.0.2 to Linux client that has oracle database, the oracle process is failing.  I forgot about the db part, but I don't see the command update_dbclients  anymore. 

Master is Netbackup 7.1.0.2,  Solaris 10

Client is Linux Redhat 2.6.

I dont believe update_dbclients exists in 7.1, just the update_clients

However you may need to re-start the Oracle Instance to get it working again after the upgrade

100% correct.

All agents and options are included in client software.

What was the previous NBU version on the client? Have you checked/verified compatibility for the oracle version on the client?

You will need to check logs to find real reason for failure. Check rman output as well as dbclient log. (Confirm 777 permission on dbclient log.)
