How do I get “Detailed Status” report for older backups in Netbackup 7.5?

Hi All,

Please advice, how I can extract the “Detailed Status” report for older backups in Netbackup 7.5.

Example 03 or 06 month older backup.  As we keep the logs in Activity monitor only for 1 week.

With Regards

Harpreet Singh

Information shown in "Detailed Status" is kept in Job DB, so you can not retrieve it beyond your 1 week retention.

As Vickie suggested, you can use "All Log Entries" instead. But it is not less infomative than "Detailed Status".

Hi,

This is what you can get from "All Log Entries" report from GUI console.

The default value to keep these logs is 28 days, if this value is set to keep logs for 3 or 6 month then you'll be lucky one. As then only you can get expected details.

Hi All,

Thanks for your prompt replies.

I am seeing in the Master Server properties "Clean-UP" --> “Keep Logs” is set to "548" days.

Will this help me to retrieve the Backup "Detailed Status" report?

Activity Monitor keeps info in Jobs database and have a separate setting.

See https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/i-want-keep-jobs-actvity-monitor-longer#comment-16879...

I do NOT recommend keeping Activity Monitor info for 3 - 6 months! I can imagine that it will slow down your master server tremendously.

If you have a need for long-term reporting, invest in OpsCenter Analytics.

Then you may get it from "All Log Entries" report.

Go to "All Log Entries" and mention the Date/Time range for which you need the details.
