How do I know image file is encrypted?

I am enabling client-side encryption on NBU 7.1.  I have been unable to determine whether or not the image files being created with encryption enabled are actually encrypted.

I have enabled encryption in the policy, on the client properties and have created the keyfile.dat file.

I have also tested a restore after removing the keyfile.dat which failed.  I am sure this is because the image is actually encrypted.

Does anyone know an easier way to find out if an image is encrypted other than trying to restore it?

Thanks,

Ryan

  go to reports

Tape reports

Images on Tape

put in your media id and run the report

add the columns

Encrypted

Encryption key Tag

(if just doing kms hardware encryption - the encrypted will say no, but you will have a key tag)

Thanks so much!  I have been going nuts looking for documentation on this.
