We are running Netbackup 7.5.0.1 on Windows 2008 R2 and we are having issues backing up VMs on a Windows 2008 R2 Hyper-V cluster. We have a 3 node cluster connected to HP P2000 and using the Hardware VSS writer. From time to time we are seeing shortly after the backups the starts something happens when the HP hardware VSS writer snaps the VM and places the CSV in read-only mode and never releases it and all the VMs on cluster go down hard. We then have to use disk part to remove the readonly tag on the CSV volume.
Now this issue does not happen all the time. It will work great for 4-5 weeks and then all of a sudden one night the moons allign and the cluster goes down!
Has anyone else experienced this?

You really need to go to 7.5.0.3 for lots of reasons and also check the Late Breaking news page for any extra EEB hotfixes as well:
http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH178334
I know there was an EEB for a late version of 7.1 so a similar one may be included in the latest updates for 7.5
Hope this helps
