Kindly explain what are transctions logs in lotus notes server backup?
Why are they required?
What if they are backed up are they beneficial in restoring data as well?
In my environment we restore user's mailbox with user id i.e. within D:\program files\lotus\domino\data\mail\XXX

Transaction logging keeps a sequential record of every operation that occurs to data. If a database becomes corrupted, you can "roll back" the database to a point before it was corrupted and replay the changes from the transaction log.
The information your looking for is in the Symantec NetBackup 7.5 for Lotus Notes Administrator’s Guide, page 15. (DOC5168)
