I have read these threads:
https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/manually-duplicate-slp-images-another-stu
and
http://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/duplicating-media-another-media-error-191
both refer to this technote:
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH60675
which says "NetBackup administrator has the ability via the Command Line Interface to release the lock on the image by changing the state to "Lifecycle Complete" in the catalog. The Catalog functions can now be used to run the duplications manually to the other storage destinations."
But how? I have looked at bpimage and bpstlutil (including using 'strings' to search for undocumented options).
This is for NetBackup 6.5.6 on Solaris/SPARC. I have quite a few images in this state, and while I seem to be able to set the expiration from 'infinite' to the desired value I cannot duplicate them to tape to go offsite.
