Media Server platform and vmware vCenter server

I have been reading mixed information about which Media Server platform I can use to do VMWare vCenter backups.  Some say windows only some say all platforms supported by Netbackup.

My Environment is Netbackup Enterprise, 7.1.0.4

Master Server - Redhat RHEL 6

(2) Windows 2008 Media servers

(3) Redhat RHEL 6 Media Servers.

I have a location with VMWare 4.1 that I want to use one of my RHEL 6 Media servers for backup.  Is this a supported platform? or am I forced to use a Windows Media Server?

You need to use one of your Windows Media Servers.

I am seeing only SUSE 10 and 11 from 7.5.0.3

Supported platforms for the VMware backup host and backup media

server

NetBackup for VMware requires a NetBackup client installed on the backup host

and on the optional backup media server. The same requirement applies to the

NetBackup restore host.

The following platforms are supported for the backup host and backup media

server.

Requires NetBackup 7.5.0.3 or later.

Note: NetBackup supports installation of the backup host in a virtual machine

(VMware "hotadd"). The guest operating systems that NetBackup supports for

hotadd are the same as the above.
