NBU Upgrade RollBack - 7.7

Dear Forum,

Need to upgrade my existing setup which is on 7.5.0.6 / 7.6.0.1 to 7.7

Solaris 11 Sparc - MASTER/MEDIA

Need to know the rollback plan if upgrade fails by any chance.

Pls. suggest.

Ensure you have a full catalog backup prior to upgrade. If the upgrade to 7.6.0.1 fails you will need to reinstall netbackup 7.5, patch to 7.5.0.6 and run a catalog recovery. Its all in the netbackup troubleshooting guide.

I have almost the same setup, wish someone had posted about the tmpdir issue before I upgraded the last time.

 

NetBackup 9.1.0.1 on Solaris 11, writing to Data Domain 9800 7.7.4.0
duplicating via SLP to LTO5 & LTO8 in SL8500 via ACSLS
