We are curruntly in process of preparing plan for our Master server hardware refresh,
Old Master server : Windows 2003 NBU 7.5.0.4
New Master server: Windows 2008 NBU 7.5.0.4
I gone through the below links as well as Admin Guide,
http://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/netbackup-7505-mastermedia-server-hardware-refresh
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH77447

But we do have Data domain in our setup I dont find any proper document to how to deal with this.
Apart from physical connectivity, Only catalog recovery will be sufficient to detect all backup sets on datadomain.
or any addtional steps I need to perform ?

yes, that would be fine..
hopefully you have read the below statment on the tech note , this it the point that you need to take care...
"If the old master server has access to OpenStorage and PureDisk deduplication devices ensure that the new master server can access the same devices using the same storage server name."
and also make sure you have downaloded the use the 64bit OST for windows 2008 server.

Excellent post from Nagalla about new OST plugin...
A catalog recovery will restore NBU catalogs on the master server, where information about ALL backups are kept - tape, disk, OST, etc....
Just ensure proper hostname lookup between new master and DD.
The DD documentation recommends hosts file entries to prevent DNS lookup for comms.

Thanks Nagalla and Marianne for suggestions and solution
Yes, I have plan to copy the content of host file from old master server to new master sever.
DNS resolustion should not be problem then.
Also I have downloaded the 64 bit OST for Windows 2008 Server.
