Hi, I encountered this when running duplication job to my 6 tapes. it occured on the last tape 127DAO always. How come the 150 code, terminated by administrator happened since I did not intervene. I tried to clean the tape drive and ran duplication again, still the same.

Hope you managed to figure out by now which pool does not have any media?

If you have a lot of pools, it is best to have a Scratch pool.

If you don't, create one and mark it as Scratch Pool.
Move all 'Unassigned' media into Scratch.
Do this on a regular basis to eventually have all Unassigned tapes in Scratch pool at least once.

All backup and/or duplication jobs needing media will draw from Scratch if no media is available in requested pool. From there on, media that expire will automatically go back to Scratch pool.
The requirement is that 'Previous Pool' must be Scratch.

To troubleshoot status 96, work though this wizard:

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=answers&type=wizard&wizardid=NBU090&wizardstepid...

Status 150 is because of status 96.

Thanks Marianne. I'll look on to the wizard link.

Hi Marianne,

I have check the link wizard, just a question, it says there INFO-2 volume pool. What does the INFO-2 mean? I have alot of volume pool defined, but none INFO-2, INFO-3, INFO-4 that is mention on the troubleshooting of the link wizard. Can you enlighten me? Thanks again.

Take note of the following data:
INFO-1) The name of the storage unit requested for the backup or duplication job.
INFO-2) The media density type associated with the requested storage unit.
INFO-3) The robotic library associated with the requested storage unit.
INFO-4) The name of the requested volume pool.

If you made a note of what it is referring to here at the very first step, then substitute *your* values for INFO-2, INFO-3 etc etc when it refers to them later on.

e.g.

Question) Do tapes exist in the requested volume pool (INFO-4)?

How do I find out?
From the NetBackup administration console expand media and device managment.
Expand media.
Expand volume pools.
Select the requested volume pool (INFO-4).
Is there a tape in the selected volume in the pool?
So, INFO-4 here is *your* volume pool that is requested in *your* backup job.

Hi Marianne, yes that is correct and what I also did. I also added another tape. I usually use 6 tapes for my duplication/backup job to occupy. And now I also tried to add another tape/media. I'll mark your last reply as the solution. Thanks alot.
