Traditional method to install VNB is ./install.

Same method is applicable in Solaris 11 or we need to set publisher ( Not sure ).

Pls suggest ?

Not able to find anyting in 7.6 installation guide exclusive for Solaris 11.

I belive its same as older versions...

but some consideration from Install guide for soalris...

Special installation guidelines for Solaris systems
Several kernel-tunable parameters, such as Message Queue, Semaphore, and
Shared Memory Parameters, can affect NetBackup performance. If you adjust these
values, you may prevent your system performance from slowing down or even
reaching a deadlock state.
For more information about parameter definitions and examples, see the NetBackup
Backup Planning and Performance Tuning Guide on the support website.
http://www.symantec.com/docs/DOC5332
The following examples show how you may need to modify certain parameters for
Solaris 10 systems:
■ It may be necessary to increase the system’s message
queue resources to avoid having NetBackup daemons
hang.
For example, you may need to edit the /etc/system
file to include or change the following parameters:
set msgsys:msginfo_msgmnb=65536
set msgsys:msginfo_msgmni=256
set msgsys:msginfo_msgtql=512
After editing the file, you must restart the NetBackup
server.
Message Queue parameters
■ You must allocate enough semaphores on UNIX systems,
or errors may occur. System requirements vary, but the
following changes to the /etc/system file should be
sufficient for an average system:
set semsys:seminfo_semmni=1024
set semsys:seminfo_semmsl=300
set semsys:seminfo_semopm=32
set semsys:seminfo_semume=64
After editing the file, you must restart the NetBackup

Why do you need something 'exclusively' for Solaris 11?

The installation guide is your friend.
If there were different considerations for installation on Solaris 11, there would be detailed instructions in the Installation Guide.
This means that 'install' will work on Solaris 11 the same as on Solaris 10 and other Unix flavours.

Other documents that deal with specific OS versions:
OS SCL: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH76648

and NBU 7.6 Release Notes: http://www.symantec.com/docs/DOC6138

The SCL refers to this doc that deals with reinstall or upgrade (NOT new install) of NBU on Solaris 11:
http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH176441
