Hi,
While running the job my getting following error:
Error nbjm(pid=6120) NBU status: 2001, EMM status: No drives are available (2001).
Troubleshooting steps done:
- Reinstalled the drivers
- Rebooted the server
- scan the tape library
Now m able to detect the drives and library but still facing the same issue while running the backup job from one of my media server (win 2k3 standerd x32 bit)
Can any one suggest on the same.
Regards
Jayesh

Have you stopped and disabled RSM on the media server?
Please do the following on the Media Server:
add VERBOSE entry to <install-path>\Veritas\volmgr\vm.conf
Restart Device Management service.
Device level messages will now be logged in Event Viewer System and/or Application log.
Next, open cmd and cd to <install-path>\Veritas\volmgr\bin.
Run the following 2 commands:
tpconfig -l
vmoprcmd -d
Please copy the text and post output here.

It does sound like the drive is down si check the following:
1. as Marianne says stop and disable removabe storage service
2. check that a tape has not been left (or stuck) in the drive
3. add the AutoRun registry key with a value of 1 to the tape drivers registry key as per this tech note:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/842411
4. Check that your storage unit specified is correct as per the policy and that the density (HCART / HCART2 etc. matches what your tape drives are configured as
Hope this helps
