Hello All,
environment: master server Linux Redhat 2,6
client Windows 2008 server
netbackup 7.1
By standart netbackup it is working...When we trying with RMAN givin following error..
RMAN-03009: failure of allocate command on ch01 channel at 03/20/2014 11:18:21
ORA-19554: error allocating device, device type: SBT_TAPE, device name:
ORA-27211: Failed to load Media Management Library
What can we do ??
Any suggestions???

so is that the case... did you install 32-bit Oracle on 64 bit Windows.?
if yes its not supported...as stated in T/N

Let me add some more explanations..
on Client server Windows 2008 R2 64 bit..so netbackup also 64 bit
Here Oracle 10 with 32 bit .we suppose purpose of the error is this..
Do you have an experience similar to this issue???

does the Oracle backup ever worked fine?
if possible attach the dbclient log from the Oracle client to this post

yes. on machine 32-bit Oracle..on 64 bit windows.
Instead rman backup (Oracle ) if we use Standart type for backup archive logs, It would work ??

32bit Oracle on 64bit Windows is not supported as Nagalla pointed out.
And no standard type backup will not work with archive backup because it does not integrate with RMAN and its recover catalog. You may be able to backup the archive log but they will not be removed and Oracle has no idea of where the archive log are located.
Best fix is to use 64bit Oracle.
