Oracle:Net Backup:Backup:Backup Time discrepancy

Guys,

My server has netbackup client installed and i'm trying to backup Oracle DB archive logs. I've found that at times, the job runs for 25 minutes for backing up 100 archives in which the filesperset is 10 and file size being 400MB and the same job as well runs for 45 minutes for the next immediate run.

I understand that there could be potential issue with the network and the load on the backup server.

Do we have any logs which net backup infrastructure setup creates or any setup or create the logs to find out the discrepancy in the timing here ? Or any other way so that i can track the delay ?

Or Any other way we can track the discrepancy here.

Regards,
Arvind

NetBackup oracle agent on client creates logs in /usr/openv/netbackup/logs/bphdb and /usr/openv/netbackup/logs/dbclient on client. Please go through these logs to find any issue at database end. Also you can increase the client connection time out and check if the archive backup works properly.
