Hi,
We are running with a UNIX NetBackup ver 5.1MP7 master server and a client runnning MP5 and Oracle RMAN backups.
Our standard backup works fine but the Oracle DBAs are starting RMAN backups which we can't see at all at the NetBackup level. We get these errors however in our dbclient log, anyone seen this before?

Hi,
Did you check the user_ops logs in client. It can be more indicative.
Do you have Oracle agent installed on the client?
Thanks,
Subhojit.

There are no entries in the user_ops logs at all which have all setup. Nothing in bpcd either.
Oracle RMAN 5.1MP5 is installed.

Hi Marc,
Try giving 777 permission to user_ops directory and see if it logs anything. Is it a new client or an existing client that suddenly started giving problems?
Also, check if /usr/openv file system is not close to 100%
Thanks,
Subhojit.

This has been checked and neither of these is an issue .

Hi Marc,
I am sure you have tried this.
Do an ls -ltr /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/libobk*
See if the libobk files are held by any processes.
Thanks,
Subhojit.
