Reading old NBU 6.5 tapes

Hello VOX community,

I would like to know which currently NBU supported version is able to read old NBU  6.5 tapes?

I have never heard of any version compatibility requirements between  when a tape was made and when it is read. 

Many of us would have very old tapes we can expect to read.

see page 53 in SCL: https://www.veritas.com/support/en_US/article.000115691, there is a general Veritas commitment:

 Backup images created under an older version of NetBackup will always be recoverable with a newer version of NetBackup

More likely to have hardware restriction.  LTO drives can only read back two levels, i.e. LTO6 drives cannot read LTO3 tapes.
