I have a media server that is dead, no way it is going to come back. I have another media server that will replace it. I have the new server up and running in NBU 6.5 Now Im just having an issue removing the other (dead) media server from my master server. Just an FYI I have two media servers in my environment. Is there anything else I should be doing? ie.... with the tapes or the database, or......

This is the error I get when removing from the GUI:

Try this:

nbemmcmd –deletalldevices –mediaserver …

If you are not going to rebuild this media server, remember to move media/image ownership to another media server:
bpmedia -movedb -allvolumes -oldserver <old_server> -newserver <new_server>

YIKES! I hope there is no lingering spirits from the dead server.
but....
Judy meant to use the technote as a tool or checklist to  follow the "spirit" of the technote. :)
