Hi,

I have been facing an issue for the SharePoint backups getting partially completed.

Below is the error:

Warning bpbrm(pid=2284) from client XYZ: WRN - can't open object: Microsoft SharePoint Resources:\Shared Services\Shared Services Applications\User Profile Application\Services-DB 2 (RISKSQL/Profile_DB)\Profile_DB (BEDS 0xE000FEA9: The Backup Exec data store encountered a problem during the operation. See the job log for details.)

What type of backup it is ? Sharepoint GRT or normal ?

This error generally comes when backup of the specific DB is already active.

1. Check whether the same DB is added in the backup selection list twice.

2. Check if any unhandeled / orphan netbackup processess are on the Sharepoint server.

3. Recycle NB services on the sharepoint server and then retry the backup

What version of Netbackup?

A "can't open file" is usually a permission issue, check the Netbackup client service is using the correct domain account to read the Sharepoint objects.

Netbackup client service is running on Domain Administrator account it is having Sharepoint access..
