Status Code 12

I have a client (windows 2000 server) and I am having problems backing up it's system state, I keep getting a Status Code 12. The following is from the master server's problem report:

My master & media servers are running NBU 6.0 MP4 and the client in question has NBU 5.0 MP4, and before you say, yes I need to upgrade this one :)

Any ideas, it's got me...

Anything interesting in the bpbkar log?  (Is the bpbkar log enabled on the client?)

Are there any corresponding messages in the Windows Application Log?

I had a similar error on a master / client 5.1 MP4 install and the issue was a full system disk on the windows client (C:).

Yes this error is related to a disk full.
