Hi there,
We have the following file:
multi_synth.FLATFILE_ALL.SYNTH_WKLY
inside the folder:
d:\Program Files\Veritas\NetBackup\db\config
The synth file contains this:
TARGET_STU=TAPEPOOL
VOLUME_POOL=OFF_T_FLAT_WKLY
SOURCE_COPY_FALLBACK=PRIMARY
COPY=2
ENABLED=YES
FAIL_MODE=ALL
When I run a synthetic backup, it succeeds, but, only to disk storage unit. When Netbackup creates jobs to copy the data to the Tape STU, it fails with the following error: No Images Were Found to Synthesize.
Can anyone help shed some light on why the Synth backups would fail to tape, but, succeed to disk?
Much appreciated
Seth

The answer may lie in your policy FLATFILE_ALL and schedule SYNTH_WKLY. Care to share them?

You have not written what version of Netbackup you are on, but this technote indicate that the multi_synth is replaced with Storage Lifecycle Policies in NBU 7.1

Is there a command I can run to export this info?

Yes. INCR is available.

Anyway, thanks all for your help.
