Forum updates dont appear to be instant... but there you have it FROZEN media

bpmedia -unfreeze -m O271L4

Do this for each tape or from the Media>Volume Pool view in the GUI and right click Unfreeze

There is a column in Media > Volume Pool view that can show Media Status enable this in the columns layout - again right click in the view Columns > layout...

Also you should investigate why these tapes are FROZEN.

At least 2 things to check:

1. That those tapes are available in the tape library

2. That those tapes are not frozen - show the Media Status Column in the library view to see what the Status of the tape is - as you say it has 0 kb I would suspect it has a Time Assigned value but a Status of Frozen. You can unfreeze them but should investigate why they were frozen in the first place

Hope this helps

Also check that the media density is the same as the Storage Unit and the tape drives.

Please post the following output for one of these tape:

nbemmcmd -listmedia -mediaid <media-id>

You can also run 'available_media' from cmd (in netbackup\bin\goodies folder) to verify media usage.

PS: Small favour, please: always mention NBU version and OS in all new discussions.

One of these 4 media-id's:

"i have check that there are still 4 medias with "0" kilobytes"

nbemmcmd command is in ...\netbackup\bin\admincmd.

Remember to open cmd with 'Run as Administrator'.

Also, run this command on one of the media ids

bpmedialist -m <media id>

Thanks,

So as i suggested the other media is frozen

You can unfreeze it and see if it works but if it gets frozen again you will need to look into why it is getting frozen
