Unable to configure drive on media server........

Hi All ,

Please find the below scenarion.

I have 2 liabrary with 22 Tape drives and configured on Master Server with SSO options.And also configured on other Media Server's.

Now we added New Media Server in this list but after configuration able to see only 1 tape drive.

Tape drive are visible on OS level and also show the out put in ./tpautoconf -t .

While configuration it scan and detect all tape drives but after configuration it show only 1 tape drive configured.

Please note the same i am facing this issue on windows as well as Unix Server.

In all honesty - I cannot remember.

If anything needs to be recycled, only NBU on this media server.

After running the command, check vmoprcmd -d as well as tpconfig -l output on the media server.

If they report the same number of drives, it means the command has recycled processes.

OK, we've established that you are not Nikhil.  However, are you related ?

If you read up the post, I confirmed that the command posted would run a device discovery - so all you have to do is look 'up'.

 

This was posted ...

Run this command on master:

vmoprcmd -h drcmlive -timeout 3600 -autoconfig  -a

I then confirmed ...

"It should run a device discovery, but wait longer for a response."

So there is one answer.

Another answer is the device wizard in the GUI.

You explained that you went on some training - you should have been shown these things.

After recycle NBU this issue solved.
