Urgent, Image Cleanup doesn't seem to delete images

Folks, need some quick help with Image Cleanup.

Using NetBackup 6.5.3, we have backups going to Data Domain as BasicDisk (not DSSU) via NFS mount through the master/media server.

I discovered that some policies were set incorrectly (months ago) to retain images on the Data Domain indefinitely.  Needless to say, the DD is now full at 100% utilization and our backups are failing.  We have begun duplicating the images to tape and setting these tape backups to be the primary copy.  But when I go to expire the disk-based copy, the Image Cleanup job that runs in the NBU Activity Monitor is getting an error message 228 regarding a different media server and different DD box located at our other site:

the requested operation was partially successful (1)

I've checked the Data Domain and the image I try to expire is not being deleted.  Even the DD cleanup process doesn't seem to be deleting the disk files.

Do I need to manually delete the files related to these images?

It looks like you may have some images that were backed up through a NetBackup media server that doesn't exist anymore (prcaba02.capella.edu).  Did prcaba02 get decommissioned at some point in the past?  Alternatively, if prcaba02 a real NetBackup media server, are the NetBackup services/daemons running on it?

The prcaba02 media server is still valid, but the NBU services had been shut down.  I started them and reran a cleanup, and all is working.  Thanks!

I have same issue, no changes to media servers.  Also how to  run a "cleanup"?

You'd probably be best posting a new query, as this one's already been resolved. You could include any logs that show relevant errors etc.

But, command you are looking for is bpimage -cleanup -allclients
