Use of NetBackup Vault without mailslot ?

Is it possible to manage tapes with NetBackup Vault when robotic has no mailslot, or a too snmall mailslot (One slot for 10 cartridges, it is faster to open the robotic !).

You can use vault to duplicate and NOT eject them. You can then move the media to stand alone and take them out yourself.

But I plan to managed cartridges (reports about containers, cartridges to inject / eject,...) by means of NetBackup.

If I don't use "Eject", these reports will not be updated ?

That second option looks good. You don't need a script, just eject everything in the offsite pool
