VADP Restore Fails

When restoring a Virtual Machine back to its original location the Netbackup restore job completes with a status 0. However when power on the VM it does not find an operating system and will not boot up.

 

The version of Netbackup is 7.1.0.4 running on Windows 2008 R2 and the transport method for the restore is san. All the checks pass before the restore is run. I've tried a different transport method, nbdssl but this fails with a status 13.

Try a basic NBD restore. If it works, then it is another one of those hard-to-impossible to solve problems where you have to use NBD for restores.
