VM backup problem on Netbackup 7.0.1

Sega_Ken_Chan

Dear Supports,

We have a VM client backup , policy type "FlashBackup-Windows". It is running normally for a long time until yesterday.

I tried all VM clients can't be backup. And also tried to reboot the backup server, but still failed.

Both Backup server and Vcenter server are in same network segment, so seems not related to firewall issue.

Would you please help to find out the problem ?? Many thanks.

Sega, sorry the late response. If transport mode is "san", please ensure your backup host (media servers) have visibilities or access to you Vcenter datastores.

To verify if the vwaretools are up and running, you need to have access to the vcenter, then search for the affect vms and check the summary tab. Under general details, you will be able to see the status of vmwaretools of this vm.

What transport mode are you using? If san, please ensure the backup host or media server has visibility to respective datastores at the Vcenter end. Ensure appropriate vmwaretools are running..

Yes, transport mode is san.

Actually there is nothing change for the vcentre. How can I verify vmwaretools are appropriate ?

Thanks.

Regards,

Ken
