Vmware backups When a Vcloud director is present in the environment

Previously when I tried to do a vmware backup through Netbackup 7 it would crash the VM. Symantec Support put it down to Vcloud directors not supporting Vcenter snapshots.

 

I was just wondering if there had been any changes to this issue.

Please review  http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH127089 pg 12, which gives specific recommendations for backup and restore operations.

Additionally, your vmware backup host should either be at NB v7.0.1 with ET2105102.14 applied or v7.1.0.1.
Binaries associated with ET2105102 can be obtained by opening a support case.  V7.1.0.1 is the first patch release to v7.1 and can be obtained directly from the product support downloads.
