You need bpcd log on client tech-server1.
Confirm that client has SERVER entry for media server tpsbkp2.tpsonline.com.
bpcd log will tell you how client is resolving media server's IP address to hostname. You then need to double-check SERVER entries:
If IP address is resolved to shortname (tpsbkp2) you will need to add this name to client's SERVER entries.
If client cannot resolve media server's IP address to hostname, check DNS and/or hosts entries.
Clear NBU host cache on client if hosts entries are updated:
bpclntcmd -clear_host_cache

Same result as above.

Zahid, do you agree that your Status 59 issue has been answered?
The licensing problem is a different issue, right?
05-11-2012 04:43 AM
Thanks Marianne for your kind followup. I am co-ordinating with Symantec and let see what they says. I need your words please. Do you also think that this is 100% the issue of License ?
05-11-2012 04:58 AM
Your current issue is with license key. You have not shared with us what type of license key was installed on new media server?
As I have previously stated and as you have in the TN that you found, NETBACKUP ENTERPRISE SERVER license is needed on the media server to backup remote clients.
As Accredited Partner, you have access to NetBackup Licensing Guide on PartnerNet, right?
05-11-2012 05:09 AM
emm yes I think the issue is with License.
Ohh sure yes I have access to partnernet But I am not able to see Enterprise Internal License.
05-11-2012 06:19 AM
Search for NetBackup Licensing Guide.
I have never been able to find it other than using the 'Search' function in PartnerNet... Hopefully 7.1 Guide will still be available. The 'current' one is for 7.5.
if you PM me with your email address, I can send you the 7.1 version...

The above output is listing licenses on the Master right?
Have you added the same key to the media server?
Have you restarted NBU on master and media after adding license key?
The problem now seems to be with 'not active' state of media server:
Reason: Disk media server is not active, Media Server: tpsbkp2.xxxxxxxx.com,
Please check output again of 'nbemmcmd -listhosts -verbose'.
You need to see media server 'active for disk and tape' before tape backup will work.

Ahh thanks. I completely miss to add the keys on Media Server. Problem Resolved.
Any words on the below licence key which enabled the Enterprise option:
SYMC NETBACKUP 7.5 WIN/LNX/SOLX64 PER
SERVER BNDL STD LIC PARTNER PROGRAM
BASIC 12 MONTHS
05-14-2012 02:58 AM
Seems as a reseller you were given a 'Not For Resale' license key which will allow you to use all/most available features in your lab environment for 12 months (never in production and never at a customer site).
Terms and Conditions for NFR keys should be available on PartnerNet.
(Maybe not a good idea to discuss partner-related matters /licensing in public??)
05-14-2012 03:07 AM
I think these are not as critical issues but yes let me do it this way :)
05-14-2012 03:57 AM
Please remember to Mark Solution if your status 59 has been resolved...

Thanks Marianne for your suggesstion which made me 100% sure that yes this is the problem of Enterprise License. Here I would like to Thanks Sym's TN as well which pointed me towards right direction which is:

Product ID and Server tier should me Netbackup Enterprise Server
