disk volume is down resource request failed 800

Hi All,

 

I am using the CIFS share as a basic disk. Backup is failing with 800 i.e. disk volume is down resource request failed.

Try to copy any data manully on the volume..

If it is copying fine then check the Disk storage unit status....

If the DSU is enabled then verify  the nbpem process status.

nbpem must be started..

NBU version?

Check the connectivity to CIFS share from your respective media server. Make sure you have sufficient privileges to write to that share.

Hi,

 

Using the NBU client service logon from different user and storage unit is coming from netapp filer

Disk logs says like " :Internal_16 monitored by server is down S{cl-2060017}  "

Earlier backups worked fine on the same STU or created newly?

You can deleting and recreating the Storage Unit.

Update the result here.

we already craeted multiple times...

Check whether NetBackup Client service and NetBackup Remote Manager and Monitor Service on your media server are running with same credentials or not?

The credentials must be valid Windows credentials that allow read and arite access to the share.
