I tried several searches today to find out details about netbackup's support for microsoft's exchange 2013 sp3 software.
I tried exchange 2013
exchange2013
exchange +2013
exchange +2013 +sp3
exchange sp3
In all case I had pages of output that included serveral versions of exchange. and not the topic I wanted.
The help on the search screen does not seem very helpfull.
Is there a hidden search syntax to get more targeted results from symantec's web site?
If not is there someone from symantec that can share thoughts on a connect forum?

I have all Compatibility Guides, manuals, downloads, etc, in one place:
https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/blogs/handy-netbackup-links
I use Google to search Symantec site:
e.g.
site:symantec.com netbackup exchange 2013 support

not supported yet, see this thread
https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/exchange-2013-support-0
BTW, I found this by searching "Exchange 2013" (with the quotes)

ALL of our compatibility lists are easily found on the NetBackup Common Topics page - its short link is in the signature of every reply I leave (including this one! Down there!)

Trouble with Compatibility List is they are not up to date.
No mention of Exchange 2013 in latest edition from March.

If it's not in Compatibility Lists, it is not supported (yet).

The hardware HCL is updated 2-3 times per month because new hardware comes in frequently for qualification.
The agents, such as Exchange, not as frequently but they don't change as often as hardware.

I like the site:symantec.com as it filters out alot of sites that have nothing to do with symantec.

I should a little bit of info.
I was a little upset when I made this entry and I had three things on my mind.
1) exchange 2010 sp3 support
2) exchange 2013 support
3) improvements to the forums.
1) The searches that failed for me were for 2010 sp3 which is in scl guide for netbackup 7.5.0.5
But I thought that there should have been a tech note that gave a little more info on the upgrade in 7.5.0.5
for exchange 2010 sp3 support.
There are quite a few good tech notes and quite a few that are bad or are not to be or wrong.
2) This may be on the site, but there should be a statement of future support for exchange 2013 which our exchange person said
RTM CU1 was released yesterday
3) I may have missed it, but I did not seen any area for talking about the support web site or the connect site. if it exists can some one point to it. if not can symantec create same.

I also use google as search engine
Try to use tilde (~) to connect two different words.. ex. nbu ~exchane 2013

'Newbies' may not know that which is why I posted link to other thread rather than Compatibility List ;)

Our shop seems to update software more often than change hardware. ;)

Any time I do a search here is what I use :
nbu and "<error you are getting>" and <procedure you are doing>
ex : nbu and 156 and backup
OR if it is just info :
nbu and "exchange 2013"
Here is a great blog : https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/blogs/exchange-2013-preview-walk-through-installation
bottom line,
1) always use 'nbu' in your search
2) Use the word 'and' and put errors in quotes.
3) the word 'and' always comes in handy to narrow down the issue.

You can talk about SymWISE and Connect on their forums under the Inside Symantec section:
https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/inside-symantec/forums
But to repeat what I said earlier, if you know you need to get to the Compatibility Lists to check what's supported (and, admittedly, the trick is knowing that everything you were looking for was in a Compatibility List), the quickest way is to hit up the NetBackup Common Topics page at http://go.symantec.com/nbu/.

You can also subscribe to documentation list the Compatibility guide that way you are always in the know where something is added .
