how to install NBU 6.5 window client

I have a quick question, could I use Unix media server to install window client ? Or should I use Window media server to nbu window client?

Hi Thomas,

You can push windows client software through a windows media server (Not through Unix). Load the CD used to install netbackup on the media server, and install client software to remote server.

I prefer to mount the CD on a server and then set it up as a shared. Then I log on to the client and install it off the shared drive. While I am on the client I look around to see what data is to be backed up and look for possible inclue/exclude requirements.

As long as you have administrative credentials on this 'soon to be Windows 'NetBackup Client' then you can run the install from any Windows PC and install it remotely.

Choose the selection below. But I also choose Custom (I dont install the Documentation, Debugger Symbols or VSP)
I also do updates this way.
