Check NBU config on each media server to see how devices are configured:

tpconfig -l
(command is in <install-path>\veritas\volmgr\bin)

If robot is controlled by this media server, you will see a device path next to the robot.
If robot is controlled by another media server, you will see the name of the robot control host next to the robot.

Device status on all media servers can be checked with this command on the Master server:

vmoprcmd
(command is in <install-path>\veritas\volmgr\bin)
The above will give similar info as Device Monitor in the GUI.

Use Media and Device Manager section in the GUI to check config and status.
See NBU Admin Guide I for Device config info in the GUI.

As addendum to what Marianne posted, you may use scan.exe command under <install-path>\veritas\volmgr\bin on each media server to see configured devices.

In SSO environment you may use vmdareq command for current device allocation state.

Hope it helps.

If you want to see them in the O/S just go to Device manager - they are know as Medium Changers - and should be set as Unknown Medium Changers as you don't need drivers for them when using NetBackup.

tpautoconf -r will show all robots

tpautoconf -t will show all tape drives

Hoep this helps

-report_disc   (not _disk)

You can run this command on reconfigured servers to produce a list of new and missing
hardware. This command scans for new hardware and produces a report that
shows the new and the replaced hardware.
