BESR 8.0 breaks a full recovery point into 4.1GB pieces going to an External Hard Drive

We're having an issue where BESR 8.0 breaks a full recovery point into 4.1GB pieces going to an External Hard Drive. The option inside the backu job that allows you to specify that BESR break up the recovery points has not been configured. Any specific reason it might be doing this on its own?

Does the external drive use the FAT32 file system?  Many of them come that way for compatability reasons.  FAT32 has a file size limitation.  Change the drive to NTFS and the problem should go away. I had the same issue once.

CQ is correct, though this will usually fail the job if it is run to a FAT32 drive without the option to break the file into smaller pieces.

Is anyone else seeing this on a drive which is formatted NTFS?
