Hello,
I have a problem with BESR on some Windows 2000 clients (BESR 8.5)
The installation works fine but when I run it, it says that the client is backed up (as he did not).
When I go in the "state of volumes" (see volume_state.png), I do not see the hard drive partitions, there is just written "Last recovery point: \ \ \ 172.28.16.142 \ \ Shared \ TestImage001 . v2i "and" data not found ".
FYI, my server is BESR MS 2010 SP3.
I tried reinstalling the client but nothing changed.
Thank you for your help.

Which 8.5 version do you use exaclty(8.5.X) ? Which Version of the BESR/SSR MS do you use ?

The client version is 8.5.5.33937.
And I use the 9.0.3 version of BESR MS (BESR MS 2010 SP3).

I just installed SP7 on the client (8.5.7.36701) but it did not solve the problem.

Do you see the volumes in the console on the BESR client ?

No I do not see them.
When I go to the Status tab, the volumes are not displayed, and the screen stuck on "Updating of planning" (not sure that will be written like this in English...) (see Capture.png)

Do you see the drives on the "Advancè" tab ?

No, nothing is displayed.

Last time I had to figure out what version of BESRMS I had I called support and after 30 minutes with support we ere able to find the version
Is there an easy way or quicker
Or how to check the version?

I checked my version of BESR SM by running Symantec Installation Manager.
BESR SM normally appears in the list of installed products with its version.

When on the Status page on the client
Click View and click Show Hidden Drives
Does anything show up?
Was Support able to help?

Hello,
When I click on "Show hidden drives", nothing appears either.
After several tests, I backup the hard drive with "Ghost", then I deployed on another SATA hard drive (the original hard drive was a SATA) it did not work but if I deploys backup on an IDE disk, BESR detects the disc!
So I tried to put the SATA drive and update all drivers (including SATA) but it still does not work ...
I also looked in the BIOS settings but I found nothing.
I think I'll change the hard drives of the 3 PCs that cause problems until they can find a solution... (PCs that have this problem are all HP DC7x00, there may be a link between these models and this problem?).
Thank you for helping me find a solution.
