Every day, the server fails its backup. If the server is rebooted and chkdsk'd the backup works fine, then the next day it fails again.
Why does or could this keep re-occuring?

Do you have to reboot AND run CHKDSK to temporarily fix this?
What other applications are installed/running on this server?

Do you have to reboot AND run CHKDSK to temporarily fix this? Thats correct.
About the only major bit of software is Trend Micro Worry Free v7 then UPS software and some HP tools.

There might be some conflict with Trend Micro..
I would suggest that you try and narrow this down to one specific volume. Try backing up each volume in it's own job to see if this issue is specific to one volume or just a general issue with the server. This should give us some more clues.
