backup a windows 2008 64 bit and restore to a machine 32 bit

is it possible make a backup of machine 2008 64bit and restore in different hw but with 32bit?

...probably not, and this would be due to the drivers within the OS. If it was data you were restoring you'd have no issues, but you'll most likely end up with either a failed restore or a very unstable system.
