I have a BESR v8.03 installation which has ben causing problems. It finally screwed the server up altogether recently with the symsnapservice failing to start (it puts out the standard windows error after a timeout period and sits with status 'starting'). As the same time, an error is logged in the sys.evt "Unknown disk format; exception processing message c0000014".
The disks are not apparently corrupt or causing anybody any problems and have recently completed a full perfectdisk defrag. We may get a chkdsk in this weekend.
Is the service failing to start due to a genuine partition/filesystem fault, or is there some other reason for the service not coming up correctly ?
Thanks
