using System recovery 2011 with Cluster Environment to take image

Hi,

can i use the System recovery 2011 with Cluster Environment to take an image?

we have 2 Servers with SAN Storage and all are connected using fiber cables through SAN switch.

i have heard before that we cannot use any imaging software with the Cluster Environment like it will damage the cluster or it will make the system to fail on reboot.

please advise.
