...best thing to do is to try a restore. If it succeeds, then all is well.
Also, not sure if you're using AOFO with your DB backups, but if you are, turn that off...not recommended.

...I've seen this with Exchange and there was a TN released from Symantec to say that if a byte count was shown, all was well.
I'd go 1 further and drill down into the details below and make sure it is showing your DBs as being backed up, with a byte count associated with them.
Also just make sure that your media server is fully patched, and that your remote servers are also patched.
You don't say which version of BE 1010 this is, but if you're not running R3, this might be a worthwhile upgrade too as it offers a number of enhancements.

Thanks Craig for the input. BTW the version is BE2010 R2. I really believe that this was all normal. Just want to get some thoughts from others like you...
