Central BEWS patch server...is that an option ?

Maybe I missed it somewhere in the products guide. But here is basically what I\we are looking for.

On a nation wide set of systems running BackupExec V9 to  V2010, The internet access for those machines have been turned off for security reasons.  Does Symantec offer a solution similar to the Microsoft WSUS, in which those servers can check for updates to a server on the internal Corporate network ? Or is manually downloading patches to another system and then applying them the only options ?

Thanks

You can manually download updates and then install it on the Media server or the server

where remote agent is installed. Refer to the below link for downloading updates.

...I think that Backup Exec Infrastructure Manager might be what you're looking for...

BEIM might achieve what you need but is not the easiest product to configure.

LiveUpdate Administrator would be your answer - except it currently does not support Backup Exec 2010 or 2010 R2 because we identified a flaw in how it handles BE 11.x and 12.x that we are looking into (so although it supports 11.x / 12.x it does not work very well.)
