Possible Bug - Transfer Rate incorrect in Backup Log

Hi,
I am running Backup Exec 9.1 Rev 4691.

I was looking at a job last night - focusing primarily on throughput.

The log said Elapsed Time was ~10 hours
Total Bytes backed up was ~125.1 GB
Rate: 604 MB/ Min

When I divide 125GB by 600 Minutes, I get ~208MB per minute. But the interface is reporting 604 MB/ minute.

What's going on here? Somewhere the data or the logic in the transer rate calc function is wrong. Has anyone seen this before? Maybe I am doing the math wrong or something.

Here is the raw data of the relevant portion of the log:

Original start time : Friday, June 24, 2005 11:30:00 PMJob started : Tuesday, June 21, 2005 9:46:10 PMJob ended : Wednesday, June 22, 2005 7:47:13 AMElapsed time : 10:01:03
Files : 82,150Directories : 9,176Skipped files : 0Corrupt files : 0Files in use : 0
Byte count : 125,128,020,021 bytesJob rate : 604.00 MB/Min (Byte count divided by Elapsed time for job)
Thanks!

If you have Eject on End spefified as part of your job description and Backup Exec puts up a "Remove Tape" alert, the job won't "end" until you reply to that alert

You can see http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/192055.htm for some tweaks that will autorespond to several alerts, including this one, or you can just eject manually when you swap tapes

Right said Ken!

It makes sense. Does it help Don?
