Runtime Error after upgrading to 2003 server

Hello,

We ran a upgrade from 2000 to 2003 server.  Now when we try to start up BE, we receive a runtime error!  C:\program files\Symantec\backup ecex\beremote.exe.  I took a look at the services and three out of the six BE services will not start.  I'm patching the server with all the latest SP's and hotfixes but still now luck.  I also ran a recovery on the database with BEutility.exe and no luck as well.  Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

   Please check the event id in windows event logs . That might help you to know the reson the services are not starting . There can be lots of reason behind not being able to start BEremote service , one of them is if you default E-Mail client is not set to Microsoft outlook .
