A client is having an issue installing the Outlook 2007 EV Client on a Server 2003 citrix server. He said when he installs the client he gets the following message when someone tries to open an archived message.
"Your Outlook Installation is missing the VBScript component (Outlvbs.dll) that is required by Enterprise Vault. You will not be able to view the original content of Enterprise Vault Shortcuts until this component is installed"
Any suggestions?

So after copying the outlvbs.dll I still had some issues. i found this KB article from microsoft and after deleting the registry key the error went away and Outlook started working without issues. It appears the the EV client was working, it was just triggering these errors. So after deleting the registry key all the errors stopped. I'm just waiting for the users to test and confirm that there are no further issues.

Hi Baron,
You might need to copy the missing DLL to the Terminal Server computer. Take a look at this technote:
Microsoft Outlook clients on Citrix Presentation servers running Terminal Services are unable to view the content of the email or open the attachment in Enterprise Vault for Microsoft Exchange.
http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH49333
This is a known issue for Mcrosoft Outlook in Terminal Servers. Here is a KB Article form Microsoft:
Forms with VBScript do not work with Terminal Services in Outlook
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;302003
There are two methods in the MS KB article: (1) Copy the DLL or (2) use a custom installation wizard to deploy Office. If you get the GUID for your Office installation, you can run the following command line:
msiexec /i <Product Code GUID of [SKUName]WW.msi> ADDLOCAL=OutlookVBScript /qb
I hope this helps.

So I finally got into this server to take a look, it's actually 2007 Outlook, not 2010 and it's running on 2003 server. Also, I'm able to open email items, I just receive this error when it happens.
"Microsoft Office Outlook cannot provide form scripting support. This Feature is not available. For more information, contact your system administrator."
The error pops up twice and then the message opens.
I tried a few things but the account they gave me doesn't have permission to uninstall/install software so I'm waiting for them to give me proper access.

you can just paste outlvbs.dll from a machine that has Outlook installed on a client (must be Outlook 2007) and paste it in to the OFFICE12 directory , no install/uninstall required

I'm going to try that as soon as I find a machine with Outlook 2007 and the EV Client installed where I can copy the dll from.

how about the actual EV Server itself?

Ok, forgot about the EV server. I did copy the outlvbs.dll file over to the Office directory on the terminal server but it made no change. I'm still getting the message.

I'm glad you have got it (mostly) sorted out.

Good catch! That MS KB article states that the MS KB http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;302003 that I mentioned before will not help if Outlook was installed using Citrix Installation Wizard, which is this case. I hope is working well now.
