EV 8: Error Failed to configure Enterprise vault web app, error: 5

Hi Guys,

I am trying to run owauser.wsf script in order to configure OWA for Exchange 2007. When I run the cscript for owauser.wsf it does the following:

Assigned user right: SeNetworkLogonRight

Assigned user right: SeInteractiveLogonRight

Assigned user right: SeBatchLogonRight

Assigned user right: SeChangeNotifyPrivilege

Error: Failed to configure Enterprise Vault web app, error: 5

Windows throws another error msg in a dialogbox: Webapp Config: Failed to update ASP.NET version. Error:0

I have tried running this with and without /exch2003 switch. Without luck.

EV OS: Windows server 2008 x64 ent.edit. sp1

Exchange mailbox role (CCR cluster): Windows server 2008 ent.edit sp1

IIS 7

Anybody experience this before? Any workaround?

Thanks

I found out that if you do NOT change Feature Delegation inside IIS to read/write BEFORE you run the script, you will get this error. But if you Change the Feature Delegation BEFORE you run the script you will not get this error.... :)

I have the same issue here. EV 8.0 running on a Win2003 r2 x64

Exchange 2003 running on 2003

I also get the

Webapp Config: Failed to update ASP.NET version. Error:0

Error: Failed to configure Enterprise Vault web app, error: 5

Have you Gill or someone else a resolutions to this problem?

Did you follow this guide to install 32-bit ASP.NET on the 64-bit machine, as stated in the Install guide: ? http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=894435 Cheers Michel

Guys I think the "Failed to update ASP.NET version" is a bug. Please open a case @ SYMC. Cheers Michel
