Can you check the cache location for how much free space is available?
The behavior in question may occur when the Enterprise Vault Server Cache location is either full or low on drive space.
Check the Maximum Cache Size within the VAC, see screen shot below:
Then check the size of the Cache folder to see if it is near the limit.

Could be a problem with a specific item.
Do you see a crash event 1000 in Application Log ?
What is the behavior if you perform an export specifying a data range ?
You can also try to customize webapp.ini to include
RestoreTOPSTOption = All option and try a restore to pst from search.asp - Refer TECH54559
If you still have issues, need dtrace logs.
11-14-2014 05:49 AM
It seems it is failing on this: Failed reading S:\Enterprise Vault Stores\sonusevs1store Ptn1\2006\03\27\11\489715000000000~200603271125320000~0.ARCHDVS
Can you see if that file is actually there and if it is you can try deleting it and running the process again.
Typically archdvs files are cleaned up by the Collector task when they are older than 24 hours but it may not have happened it in this instance.

Hi Vishal,
What is the behavior if you perform an export specifying a data range ?
Yes when I am exporting after 2006 no issue
