EV icons in outlook not working

Hi All

i have try to use the vault icons to store mails in to the vault

and received the error:

Ox800706ba : The RPC Server is unavailable

RPC Server Unavailable is usually a DNS issue where the name its trying to get to is not contactable, my initial thoughts are one of the two addresses aren't resolvable

Press Ctrl+Shift and then click a Vault icon, select Full logging, restart Outlook and try again

if you can try archive something straight off that would be best before Virtual Vault and Vault Cache start to process, keeps it a little cleaner. After that, open the log the same way that you did here and paste it as an attached Txt file

OK so

1. open a command prompt and type 'ping evsite1.comverse.com'
2. Does it resolve? Does it reply to the ping request?
3. Not only does it resolve, but does it resolve to the correct ip address?
4. if you go to Start -> Run -> "mstsc" and press OK and then connect to evsite1.comverse.com' can you connect to it through RDP?
5. if you can connect to it, are all the EV Services running on this machine?
6. is the machine throwing any errors or any DCOM errors?
7. Does the server or your machine have Windows Firewall or any other firewall blocking the connection?
8. Does the EV Server have the DisableLoopBackCheck and DisableStrictNameChecking enabled on it?

Also try this DCOM Connection utility, needs to be run on the server and the client and will prove basic connection
