Missing Shortcuts in many mailboxes after running expiry in report mode

9.02 Running storage expiry in report mode we lost quite a bit of shortcuts in over 1000 mailboxes.  I spoke with support so far they found this article.

But there is no indication in the logs that it deleted the shortcuts.  How can we restore the shortcuts, the data is in the vault.

Event ID: 7086 will be generated when running in Report Mode . This will give the infromation about the shortcuts deleted

refer the following document to recreate the shortcut

Thanks RahulG.  There are a lot of mailboxes that will need to be fixed.  This all seems so manual for the amount of mailboxes that we need to touch.  Do you know of any third party tools that could be used?

Unfortunately, EV does not currently have a way to systematically regenerate shortcuts once they are deleted.  Shortcut are generated during the archiving of the item.  I am also not familiar with any 3rd party utility that will do this.

As an alternative, have you considered utilizing Virtual Vault?  VV would provide a local cache of the user's archive which would be within Outlook, like a PST.

Otherwise, the only method I know to recreate shortcuts would be to export the archive, delete the archive, create a new archive and import, recreating the shortcuts in the mailbox.
