Dear All,
I'm really new to EV, I'm using Outlook 2010 x64 and I've got the Enterprise Vault client 9.0.2 installed.
In File > Enterprise Vault, I could see that I'm connected to the Vault server, and everything is scynchronised, the status is complete.
My problem is exactly the one explained here http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH47875 but with Outlook 2010 x64. I checked the VBA Scripting support, and it installed.
When I click on an archived mail, I could go in the Outlook rubban, enterprise vault menu and click on restore, that works. But If I double click on an archived email, I couldn't see the content, and nothing happen when I clicked on "This item has been archived by enterprise vaul, click here to view the original item".
Thank you
Regards
Christopher

is this in your own mailbox or a shared mailbox?
If you go to File -> Options -> Trust Center -> Trust Center Settings -> Email Security
Do you have Allow Scripts in Shared Folders checked or unchecked?

Hi,
This is my own mailbox and the "Allow script in shared folders" box is checked.
Thank you

Can you enable maximum logging, and a post a relevant client trace?

Hi Rob,
Could you tell me how could I enable maximum logging ?
thank

open Outlook, go to the Enterprise Vault ribbon, hold CTRL-SHIFT and click an EV icon (such as store in vault, archive explorer etc) then you will see a pop up window, select maximum tracing and press OK and restart outlook.
Repro the error, then hold CTRL and click an EV Icon and it will open the log for you there.
Save it somewhere convenient and upload it here, if its big, just zip it up and upload it.
Logs get stored in your users \Temp directory

I'll send you that tomorrow morning, thank you very much.

When I take a look into the Enterprise Vaul Information (Through the CTRL-SHIFT + Click on a Vault icon), I've got one error -> HTTP connection failed and a web url. If I got to this web url with IE or chrome, I could do a research in my archeive email withtout issue.
So, I don't understand why it said the the HTTP connection failed.

in the client trace, did you actually try to open a message at all? i dont see anything immediately obvious, but i dont see anything where it even looks like its trying to open a message
09-08-2011 06:32 AM
Yes, I opened several.
I did it a second time, I tried to open around 10 mails, I uploaded the log here : http://demo.ovh.com/en/e88de63c8c7182771c6a5a032a2b36ae/
Thank you

Two things that I can see that I don't like the look of :-
Firstly -
IE 9
08/09/2011 06:56:57.125[5340]: Microsoft Internet Explorer 9.0.8112.16421
That's currently PENDING certification - I don't have it installed, so can't (easily) confirm if that is the cause of the error.
Secondly -
08/09/2011 06:56:57.240[6276]: Unable to load EV forms into Personal Form Library
Can you add the forms manually?

Hi Rob,
About IE, unfortunatly, nothing that I can do.
About the forms, here a printscreen :

It the forms are only the icon, this is working, check at the bottom of the printscreen in my mailbox.
Thank you
Bests regards

Can you do a screen shot which shows the version information on the EV forms?
I get the same "unable to load EV forms..." when I used EV 9.0.1 Outlook Addin with Outlook 2010 x64, and Windows 7 x64.
I'll try IE 9 too -- shortly.

Oh BTW the trying-to-click-on-the-banner-which-says-to-click-here-but-nothing-happens is a known issue.
09-09-2011 11:56 AM
Hi Rob,
All the EV forms are in 9.0.1-001 (I was thinking to use the 9.0.2 EV Client but no, I'm in 9.0.1, I did a mistake at this level, sorry about that).
Currently, the last thing that it could be is may be IE9 :s
Thank you
Christopher

okay, well, yep I will try IE 9 shortly.
The big problem is that your client log doesn't show the form being opened at all, or even attempted to be opened.
09-09-2011 12:14 PM
yes, something else that I could try ?
09-10-2011 01:00 AM
I'll take a look at my virtual machines over the weekend, or on Monday at the latest, and see what else I can suggest.
One other question, do you see the Enterprise Vault "tab" , so you see Home, Send/Receive, Folder, View, etc.. Do you see Enterprise Vault in that list?
